The Peculiar Knob and Buzzard mines,  and the proposed Hawks Nest Iron Ore Project are located within the Woomera Prohibited Area (WPA) in South Australia.

Conscious of the sensitivity of the area, Peak Iron Mines is dedicated to ensuring the highest level of security to safeguard the national interests around its operations in the WPA.

As such, the Company works in direct collaboration with the Department of Defence and holds regular meetings to discuss both existing and proposed security measures across its operations within the WPA.

As part of this commitment to security, Peak Iron Mines has acquired a 4.9% stake in specialist consulting and advisory group, Executive Risk Solutions Pty Ltd (ERS).

ERS is a world leader in crisis and emergency management, emergency response and specialist security. Its team is led by elite professionals from the Military Special Forces, Fire and Emergency Services and Law Enforcement.

Peak Iron Mines relies on ERS’s ongoing strategic advice for its operations in the WPA, which includes corporate intelligence and investigations services such as workplace misconduct, insider threat detection and management, social network analysis, geopolitical intelligence.

Through this close partnership, Peak Iron Mines strives to uphold the highest possible security standards across all its sites.
